"Dance the Night Away" is a song by American country band the Mavericks, written by the band's lead vocalist, Raul Malo, and produced by Malo alongside Don Cook. It was included on their fifth studio album, Trampoline, as the opening track. Primarily a pop-rock and Latin song backed up by horn instruments, it was written in one afternoon by Malo, who began to arrange music more often after completing the demo recording. The Mavericks are an American country music band. The group formed in 1989 in Miami, Florida. The Mavericks won Vocal Group of the Year at the Country Music Awards in 1995 and 1996.
